Introduction
The Crimson Foundation is a charity that is funded and run by the employees of the Crimson Group of Companies. The Foundation was set up in 2006 and evolved to meet the corporate social responsibility needs of the employees and director's of Crimson.
The Foundation has been designed to work on a national basis but with a strong focus on helping disadvantaged kids prepare for their future. The Foundation invests in school programmes and supports community activities that help young people. We are developing relationships with schools to allow us to understand their needs and learn how we can best support these children to give them a chance when they mature into society. We also run workshops to share our own entrepreneurial skills and experience in an attempt to give them a better start in life.
What we do
The Foundation develops relationships within schools and community groups to make a difference to disadvantaged young people in the following ways;
• Run learning programmes in readiness for kids who are preparing to leave school and enter the world of work.
• Fund projects within the community that encourage kids to develop their natural talents and ability.
• Sponsor competitions and events recognising hard work and success and encouraging entrepreneurial talent.
Funding
The Foundation is funded primarily in two ways: firstly Crimson donates a percentage of itsr profits to the Foundation and secondly through organised events such as golf days, fun runs and other fund raising initiatives, usually organised by Crimson staff who donate their own time for the purpose.
To enable us to run such fund raising events, we rely on people and organisations to support us with gifts and promotional items as well as the goodwill of the many people who give so much of their time.
Mission
The Crimson Foundation's mission is to improve the prospects of disadvantaged young people who live and attend schools in areas where there is often less money available to provide the help and support they need.
Our aims are
• To encourage kids to recognise their own talent and encourage them to realise their true potential
• Build long lasting relationships with schools who have a need
• Facilitate entrepreneurial learning modules within schools
• Support groups and clubs within the community
• Support youth related projects
