IT Support Analyst – O365/Windows – Contract – Paddington/Travel

Outside IR35 – daily rate up to £250 / day

Travel on site in Paddington and other sites in the UK is necessary

6-month initial contract – 3 day working week

IT Support Analyst required for a leading customer based in Paddington. This role requires seamless diagnostics and resolving of software issues (Windows and Office 365) while also tackling hands-on hardware challenges, such as rebuilding laptops and troubleshooting physical components.
You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, delivering excellent support to our users, and maintaining our devices at optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-line support for Windows operating systems and Office 365 applications.
  • Strong previous experience of stakeholder management – particularly at C-Suite level.
  • Diagnose and resolve software issues, including system crashes, application errors, and network connectivity problems.
  • Rebuild and configure laptops, including imaging, reinstallation of OS, and setup of required applications.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting of hardware components such as keyboards, screens, hard drives, and motherboards.
  • Identify and replace faulty hardware components to restore devices to working condition.
  • Support peripheral device setup and maintenance (e.g., printers, docking stations, monitors).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and device configurations.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system processes and efficiencies.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in IT support, including diagnosing Windows OS and Office 365 issues.
  • Strong technical knowledge of laptop hardware, including the ability to disassemble and rebuild devices.
  • Experience with imaging, deployment, and configuration of devices.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
