DevOps Engineer – AWS – East Midlands – £75,000 – £85,000
Hybrid Working – Onsite 2 days per week.
Join a dynamic team to help build and maintain the infrastructure of a leading bank using cloud-native solutions on GCP. The platform is secured with Hashicorp Vault & Consul, and automated pipelines are built with Terraform/Packer, Ansible, and Jenkins. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll ensure the platform is highly available, resilient, and performant for both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop key systems, focusing on scalability, performance, and monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for secure development and implementation.
- Own and develop automation patterns for end-to-end deployment.
- Collaborate with engineers to break down requirements and create stories/tasks.
- Manage continuous delivery pipelines for regular software releases.
- Support and maintain software and tooling used across value streams.
Key Requirements:
- Strong AWS Cloud experience and understanding of cloud computing fundamentals (IAM, Networks, VMs, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with infrastructure tooling (Packer, Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with Cloud database services, specifically Postgres.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis using log files and logging platforms.
- Knowledge of Web Services, RESTful APIs, API Security, and associated architectures.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
