IT Test Manager – Milton Keynes – Contract
12 Month Contract
Hybrid working – 2-3 Days per week onsite
Up to £475 / day – OUTSIDE IR35
Test Manager based in Milton Keynes. My client is currently seeking a Test Manager to be responsible for the overall planning, management, and coordination of testing activities within a project or across multiple projects. They ensure that the testing processes are followed, resources are allocated
effectively, and the testing objectives are met within the stipulated timelines and budget.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
· Develop and own Overall Test approach & strategy for projects, ensuring alignment with project goals. |
· Approve Project Test Plans. Support creation of detailed test plans for various test phases. Clearly articulate criteria for success. |
· Ensure testing resources are allocated effectively, ensuring the right skill sets are deployed where needed. |
· Ensure test estimation for projects are effectively done. Support Resource estimations. Work with appropriate teams to ensure appropriate Test scheduling is sequenced and agreed, ensure this is input into Project Plans. |
· Establish and report on key test metrics to stakeholders, including test progress, defect metrics, and quality indicators. |
· Responsible for management of entire Defect Life cycle and process. |
· Own Testing RAID and regularly update and communicate this with the Project, agree mitigations with the Project Manager. Also, regularly report this at TAG (Test Assurance and Governance) Board. |
· Create Summary reports at logical points in the project and Test Completion Reports at the end of the project. |
· Monitor entry / exit criteria and provide evidence for the project to move to the next phase. Set up Go/ No-Go meetings & regular Test check point meetings. |
· Ensure that all testing activities align with the Organisation’s Testing Policy & Strategy. |
· Act as the primary point of contact for all testing-related matters, maintaining clear communication with project managers, 3rd party suppliers, and other stakeholders. |
· Responsible for project test team, oversee time allocations, track holidays and capacity & demand management. |
